XI’AN, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) — Senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official He Guoqiang Saturday urged Party discipline inspection authorities to strengthen supervision and inspection to guarantee the development plan for the next five years can be realized.
At a four-day plenary meeting that ended Monday, The CPC Central Committee outlined the national development plan for the next five years, including key objectives to make breakthroughs in economic restructuring and improve living standards nationwide.
He, secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, made the call at a seminar with local Party discipline inspection chiefs in Xi’an, capital city of northwest China’s Shaanxi Province.
He, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, told the officials to provide a firm guarantee for implementing the plan by putting in place specific measures and work plans which are based on more extensive research and scientific analysis.
While expanding the channels for anti-corruption and promoting clean government, discipline inspection authorities must also work to solve well-known public complaints, find solutions to practices that harm the public interest, and protect the legitimate rights of the people, he said.
