Reacting to reports about the death of one Pakistani soldier in exchange of fire between India-Pak troops, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Hong Lei told media here that China hopes both the countries resolve their disputes “properly and calmly”.

“As a neighbour and friend of both India and Pakistan we hope the two countries can properly and calmly resolve their disputes through dialogue and negotiation so as to jointly uphold peace and stability of South Asia”, he said.
