In the past few days, the Deputy Minister of Ministry of Water Resources Hu Siyi and his entourage investigated the water conservancy work of Tibet and also heard the Tibet water conservancy work report and the report on the progress of work of the 7th work group of the Ministry of Water Resources formed for giving aid to Tibet.
He approved of the achievements of the Tibet Water ministry’s management from giving guarantee of basic work including the most strict water resources management work, developing the most sound water resources management system, continuous strengthening of the water resource argument, permit to draw water etc to the four aspects of conservation of water resources.
He also demanded further strengthening of water resource management, attaching high importance to conservation of water resources, optimal use of the funds from the Central Party, building sources of potable water etc. Deputy Minister Hu Siyi said that for the hydroelectricity work in Tibetan villages, more investment and technical support is needed.
