KATHMANDU: A moderate 4.7-magnitude earthquake hit central Nepal near the border with Tibet on Wednesday.
The aftershock was felt at 6:11 pm with its epicentre at Sindhupalchowk district, 100 km northeast of Kathmandu, according to the National Seismological Centre.
Earlier this month, a 4.1-magnitude tremor was recorded on March 17 at Okhaldhunga district in eastern Nepal.
A total number of 442 aftershocks with 4 or more magnitude have been recorded after last year’s devastating earthquake in April.
