KATHMANDU, Sept 24 : Vice-president Parmanand Jha is leaving for Lhasa on Wednesday, leading a Nepalese delegation to participate in the First China Tibet Tourism and Culture Expo jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture, National Tourism Bureau and the Government of the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People´s Republic of China.
According to a press statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Vice-president Jha will be the Guest of Honour at the Expo and will deliver a keynote speech at the inaugural session of the Expo to be held on September 25. The delegation will also visit Mount Kailash after the Expo.
Vice-president Jha will be accompanied by his wife and senior officials from the Office of the Vice-president and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He is scheduled to return to Kathmandu on September 29, 2014.
