A Drinking Water Quality Inspection Center will be constructed in southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region in 2015, according to the Water Resources Department of TAR. An initial fund investment of 16.38 million yuan RMB into the purchasing of 350 sets of laboratory instrument and equipment is already committed by local government.
This construction project consists of the Drinking Water Quality Inspection Center in Lhasa, the capital city of TAR, 6 branch centers in Shannan Prefecture, Nagchu Prefecture, Ngari Prefecture, Chamdo City, Nyingchi City and Shigatse City, as well as 8 county level centers in Gertse, Luntse,Kongpo Gyamda, Pome, Lhatse, Zogang, Lhorong and Palgon. Investment of the whole project is estimated to be 52.79 million yuan RMB, and the construction is planned to be completed by the end of 2015.
